Port Aransas and Aransas NWR - Part 1

We spent February 6th to 10th at Mustang Island State Park in order to visit a few of the wildlife areas nearby.

We were very excited to see our first Roseate Spoonbills near the city of Port Aransas.

We found this cute little Pie-billed Grebe at a nearby birding center.

This male Grackle was very intent on performing his mating ritual displays.

One day we drove to the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge.

It was pretty chilly, so these guys were not moving.
