Building a Motorhome - Preparing the pieces

After getting our detailed production schedule, we headed back to Red Bay a week before the actual build would start.  We had taken the factory tour in June 2014, and decided to take one again to refresh our memories.  Tiffin builds many of the sub-assemblies ahead of time and most of the motorhome assembly takes place over about 5 working days.

Tiffin builds all of their cabinetry.  They have a huge wood shop that builds pieces as needed for each new motorhome.

Here are a few images from the wood shop.

Tiffin buys some of the chassis used for their motorhomes and builds their own chassis for the rest.  The Allegro Bus we ordered is built on a Tiffin manufactured PowerGlide chassis.  Here are a few images from the PowerGlide chassis shop.
