Since the weather forecast looked good, we decided to make the side trip to visit Valdez again. During this visit we decided to stay in the 55+ RV park Bear Paw II, which is right next to the harbor entrance.

Valdez has a large population of feral bunnies.
This articulated sea-going barge arrived at a dock right in front of us.
The separate tug docks in a custom fitting cutout at the rear of the barge.
We made several trips around the bay to the Solomon Gulch Fish Hatchery where there are often bears feeding on salmon trying to spawn in the stream next to the hatchery.
The bay viewed from the hatchery at low tide and again at high tide.
Stellar Sea Lions were also feeding on salmon near the hatchery.
Harbor Seal
We saw fewer Bald Eagles than we expected.
The only bear we found was this Black Bear feeding a short distance from the hatchery.

The Alaska Oil Pipeline ends across the bay at the Valdez shipping terminal.
