We had wanted to return to Seward, Alaska, and revisit Kenai Fjords National Park. Seward was devastated by Alaska's 1964 Good Friday Earthquake. Due to the quake, the waterfront of Seward dropped several feet into Resurrection Bay and then was hit with a 30 foot tsunami. Due to the damage and future risks, commercial and private buildings were no longer allowed along the waterfront. Instead, the city of Seward decided to build campgrounds and RV spots right along the bay.

There was a fair amount of boat traffic, including fishing boats ...
... and a few cruise ships.
We soon started noticing lots of fish jumping right in front of our campsite. We learned that these were Silver/Coho Salmon and that this behavior is common for them (though the reason is debated).
Being surrounded by snow and ice topped mountains, waterfalls are common.
