We spent a couple of days near Munising, Michigan, to take a boat tour of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on Lake Superior. We had taken a similar tour in 2008, but on an overcast and rainy day. During this visit we had nice sunny and calm weather. The shoreline along Lake Superior at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is mostly vertical cliffs of eroded sandstone that in areas are colored by vertical streaks of groundwater mineral deposits.
The cliffs were topped by nice fall color in places.
The water was an amazing clear green.

Art, we did Muinising and Pictured Rocks in late July 2014. Had a grey day, but still impressive. Your pics make me want to do MI again for the color!
