At the end of December we returned to one of our favorite wild life refuges. The Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge just south of Socorro, New Mexico, gets large numbers of Snow Geese and Sandhill Cranes which spend the winter there, as well as other animals that are often seen.

The deer were in rut and we often saw them.
This large flock of Blackbirds formed into one of the densest clusters we have seen.
