We were recently in Blythe, California to attend their annual bluegrass music festival. Before and after the festival, we made a couple of drives down to the Cibola National Wildlife Refuge, south of Blythe along the Colorado River. Below are a number of images from those drives.
White geese and Canada Geese
American Kestrel
Great Egret
Burrowing Owl
Sandhill Cranes
A flock of white geese
Lots of Mule Deer
Northern Pintail Ducks
Black-crowned Night Heron
Cranes against the late afternoon sky
"Golden hour" light
We decided to stay a little longer since a nice sunset seemed possible.
We were rewarded with a fantastic sunset!
