Grizzly Bear Viewing in Katmai - Part 2

More images from our fantastic day of bear viewing.

Some of the younger bears seemed a bit wary of us.

Most of the bears really paid no attention to us.

This bear spent a lot of time just snoozing on a gravel bar just below us.

There was an obvious range in experience and talent for catching salmon among the bears.  A few bears seemed to be very good at fishing, others not so much.

It was one thing to be able to catch a fish, but quite another matter to keep a bigger bear from taking it away!

One final viewing as we hiked back to the plane.
